Ms. Brightley is an honor student from Archbishop Macdonald High School. She has been the recipient of Community Service Awards, the Terry Fox Humanitarian Award and is a Jason Lang Scholarship recipient. Kyneeshaw is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a 3.5 GPA and double major degrees in Sociology and Psychology with an emphasis in Criminology and Youth development.
Kyneeshaw chose to emphasize Criminology in her degree due to her passion for working with children and their families, to curb criminogenic behaviors, before they become salient in their overall behavior as an adult. Kyneeshaw has spent many years as a dedicated volunteer as she completed her studies.
Kyneeshaw has volunteered in the SNUG program working with women with addictions, with the Jamaica Association of Northern Alberta and the Edmonton Youth Justice Society Committee. Kyneeshaw is awaiting acceptance to the Masters degree psychology program at City University. She is currently a Child & Youth-Care Counselor in an Intensive Youth Treatment Program. Kyneeshaw is supported today by her mother Gail, her fiancée & her grandparents Alwyn & Joyce Brightley.
