Do Not Resist: Film Screening & Panel Discussion

February 1, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

On February 1, the Edmonton & Area chapters of Black Lives Matter and Amnesty International will co-host a film screening and panel discussion on the issue of police militarization.

Winner of Best Documentary at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival, Do Not Resist offers a stunning look at the current state of policing in America and a glimpse into the future while the panel will locate the discussion in a Canadian context. The film will also kick off Metro Cinema’s Black History Month programming.

Join us as we challenge our collective understanding of “serve and protect.”

Panelists will be announced shortly! And please invite friends! Tickets can be purchased in advance here: http://www.metrocinema.org/film_view/6135/
